Podcasting, Playing and Creating: How I found my Om this week

This past week I found such satisfaction in getting to dedicate a bit more time to my yoga practice. I ventured out to experience a studio I had never been to before, and it was so refreshing to allow myself to simply enjoy a class as one of the participants - instead of being the teacher! It was refreshing and familiar all the same, and loved finding a new environment to practice in. Whenever I am having doubt about myself or the value of my work, returning to a studio to appreciate what other teachers have to offer reminds me of how powerful and supportive yoga can be.

I also found great reward in recording the newest episode of Om: The Podcast, where I introduce what Polyvagal Theory is and what it has to do with yoga. Learning about Polyvagal Theory really finally shifted the way I view and practice yoga. As someone who always used to feel somehow obligated to make every practice session an intense workout when I was just starting to practice yoga, this understanding of my body and my nervous system finally gave me the "permission" and understanding I needed to tailor my practice to my real needs - not the ones my ego created for me. If you want to learn more, you can listen to the episode now on Spotify!

And after listening, if you are interested in getting into the nitty gritty of how to build a home yoga practice that serves your nervous system, be sure to stay tuned for announcements about my next dates for my signature workshop, Nurture Your Nervous System, in early 2026.

I am also so excited and deep in the throes of preparing for the Vancouver Wellness Show.

77 days left until I get to showcase everything Om: The Practice has to offer and connect with hundreds of wellness-minded individuals at the Vancouver Convention Centre. I cannot wait!

Mark the date in your calendar for what promises to be an incredible event, and find me at booth 504. I'm sure I won't be the only vendor there offering free giveaways. Advanced online registration for the event opens on December 1st! Snag your ticket right away to make sure you don't miss out!
