What a summer

This past weekend, summer heat fizzled under the deluge of west coast rain. But that didn't stop me from hitting up the Haney Farmer's Market as planned! It was my last scheduled day at Haney and nothing was going to stop me. And am I ever glad I went.

I was joined by some lovely familiar faces, both for the 11:30 class, and the 1:00, reaffirming for me how special it is to connect with people via yoga. The rain even eased up and cleared for market-goers, and it was a beautiful day in the end.
I have one more market day scheduled at the Pitt Meadows Farmer's Market, on September 16th. In honour of senior's day at the market, I'll be teaching chair yoga. All will be welcome to participate in a session designed to be a little more accessible to those with mobility limitations.

I also had the absolute pleasure of running a private group event booked for some love ladies. After a brief consult with my client, I put together a mood board for her event - with a theme, suggested aromatherapy scent, and musical vibe. From there, I crafted a sequence that would be fun, flowy and challenging (with options and modifications, of course!).
When I arrived at her home for the big day, I laid out the materials and set the tone for the space.
Little tealights softened the space, and each place was marked with a yoga block and an adjustment consent card. A personalized touch of my own design, these cards allow clients to indicate whether they welcome hands on adjustments if needed, or if they prefer no touch.

With the curated playlist already loaded, upon everyone's arrival and a brief introduction, we began our movement practices. From child's pose, through suryanamaskar A, to a side bending sequence that culminated in half moon, we moved together.
At the end of our movement practice, I invited everyone to lie in savasana as I handed out warm eucalyptus infused face cloths, and gave a neck and shoulder massage to each attendee.
It was wonderful to share the experience I curated with this group, who emanated warmth and peaceful contentment by the end of our time together. What a privilege.
If you are interested in booking me for your group event, reach out for a free consultation to talk about your vision. Adding yoga as a shared experience can elevate parties, family functions, and corporate events into unforgettable shared experiences.
I hope you have a beautiful week, and stay tuned for more exciting developments as I look to the autumn.
Love,
Britt
