Free 5 minute meditation ❤️‍🔥 recorded in my new studio!

It's already the end of September, and what a month it has been. From closing off the season of outdoor yoga days at the Pitt Meadows Farmer's Market, to launching Nurture Your Nervous System, my brain is still catching up to everything that has transpired!

Those who joined me for chair yoga in honour of senior's day at Pitt Meadow's Farmer's Market on September 16th learned just how much subtle movements can challenge you, and that using the support of a chair doesn't mean you can't benefit from yoga!


Then, on September 21st Nurture Your Nervous System officially launched. This day has been 2 years in the making. On the morning as I was getting ready to sign into the space and set up for the day, I was asked, "Are you nervous?" I paused before replying, did a quick scan of sensations in my body, and found that in fact, I was not.


"No," I replied. "I feel ready, and I'm really looking forward to the day."


It was my honest answer - and a testament to the rightness of my being there, and as well to the work that I have done towards regulating my own nervous system. The me of 10 years ago would never have thought I'd be doing something like this (the AUDACITY!).

I was deeply honored by the energy, attention and trust that everyone gave me on that day. We moved together, learned together, and meditated together. It was the perfect transition from the rajasic energy of summer into the slowing down that autumn calls for. I was rewarded to know that those who came to the workshop shared with me how valuable it was - that they both learned something, and came away feeling deeply relaxed.


I can't wait to run it again.


But I have lots of plans brewing in the background. Chief among them has been planning to revamp my yoga space and recording studio. I write to you now sitting on the rubber floor tiles, chaotic jumble of equipment and cleaning supplies ensconcing me, but I am undeterred by the mess. Because I have a vision, and I am more motivated than ever to bring it to life.


So while the space isn't quite ready for the big reveal yet, I do have something to share with you - a free 5 minute guided mindfulness meditation - to help you sneak a little bit more mindfulness into your day.
